Floating Walnut Entertainment Cabinet

Entertainment units have changed. Why? Because entertainment systems have changed. Gone are the days of heavy, deep television sets and multiple media sources like big laser disc players, clunky DVD players and…what? VCR’s? Modern entertainment systems are thinner, sleeker and lighter than ever. They’re wall-mounted with hidden cords. And who needs a bunch of separate components with tangled RCA and AUX cables when you can stream everything through something small like an AppleTV or the wi-fi built into your smart-tv?

This is exactly why I built this floating entertainment cabinet. At only 11-1/2 inches deep, you’re able to reclaim some of that valuable square footage in your space. In an apartment? This is an absolute space saver. You won’t find any legs on this beauty because it’s mounted on the wall using a simple french cleat system, further contributing to it’s modern space saving aesthetic.

Walnut veneered plywood makes up the body and adjustable shelves, while the soft-close doors are solid walnut. The unique variegated and textured design of the doors is a result of combining multiple strips of walnut off-cuts with custom cnc programming done in-house.

The overall dimensions of this floating entertainment cabinet 11-1/2” deep, 62” wide, and 18” tall.
